The Cella Septichora Visitor Centre is partially accessible. The entrance and certain parts of the exhibition space are accessible by wheelchair, but due to the nature of the site, significant changes in level and numerous steps make movement difficult.
Important information for wheelchair users:
Accessible by wheelchair: Cella Septichora – the seven-chambered tomb and its gallery section, the Sopianae selfie spot, films about the site and Sopianae, Roman-era board games, and a model of the early Christian cemetery
- Some burial chambers (the Korsós burial chamber, the Péter-Pál burial chamber, the Early Christian Mausoleum) are currently not accessible by wheelchair.
- The lift in the exhibition area spans half a storey. The stairlift is not suitable for transporting electric wheelchairs.
- We recommend that visitors using wheelchairs are accompanied by a carer.
